RAGTIME FESTIVAL & Andre Bohren - Amina Scott & more ENTRY THIS WEEKEND OCT 1, 2026

We have a wonderful weekend ahead- New Orleans Ragtime Festival is happening - you can check the schedule here - https://theneworleansragtimefestival.com/individual-passes - Residents are welcome to come and enjoy it - period costumes encouraged (especially for the ball Saturday) We also have a piano concert for Andre Bohren on Sunday Eve- claassical piano concert in the round. AND Amina Scott and this amazing Jazz musician from Portland will be playing Monday night (check our website for more details). Please try to send me your name and what night you will be attending in advance so I can leave your name at the door OR just let them know that you are an NMT residenct/Staff . We ask that residents not take up the front row and premium seating (unless there are plenty of extra seats and paying patrons have been seated.) I know weather isnt thaat great this weekend - but hope ya'll can make it out.

Questions to any writers (or anyone who enjoys any form of word-related storytelling) - would love to talk writing groups. Anyone have any ongoing ones I might join? Or thinking of starting a NMT cohort specific group? I'd love to join up or perhaps help organize as needed.

Using NMT for Photography Sessions

Had a thought, that I would like to use the main NMT space to make some updated artist photos/headshots for my project sometime. Is there anything I need to know about using the space for photo shoot type projects? Is this allowed? Any restrictions?

In addition to my own project photos, I might want to do some creative shoots around the grounds this next year. Might also at some point do a headshot/artist photo session for other artists in the cohort. So this question is kind of a catch all of any photo type projects - not just guy with camera projects buy also maaaaybe shoots with lights, backdrops, creative elements, etc
