New Orleans, LA — On Friday, March 7, the New Marigny Theatre will host EMBODIMENT: Women’s Voices for Health, a day-to-evening community gathering that brings together reproductive health resources, advocacy, healing arts, and live performance in an inclusive, creative environment.
The event is free and open to the public from 3:00–7:30 PM, followed by a special evening performance by acclaimed cellist Helen Gillet at 8:00 PM (suggested donation for performance of $20. -notaflof)
Designed as both an educational and embodied experience, EMBODIMENT centers women’s lived experiences and amplifies voices working at the intersection of health, justice, art, and community care.
Throughout the afternoon open house, attendees can engage with:
- Women’s and reproductive health resource tables
- Community conversations on reproductive justice and advocacy
- A legislative update from Lift Louisiana
- Healing arts activations from our parents at BLOOM Yoga, including yoga, sound, and somatic experiences
- Interactive art installations
- A CommuniTEA community tea experience
- Community-based vendors and partner organizations
The event also features live performances by various artists including ARTIVISM Dance and MÉLANGE Dance, whose work blends movement, storytelling, and social engagement.

The evening culminates with an intimate performance by Helen Gillet at 8:00 PM. A suggested $20 donation is requested for the concert, with proceeds supporting artists in action.
