ARTISTS RESIDENCIES:
We often provide free and low cost space to artists and organizations in need. In spring of 2025 we officially launched our TK Fusion Arts Residence Program! Our 2025-2026 Season featured Melange Dance Company, Musician Neal Todten, Playwright Anita Vatshell, and Maestro Riccardo Leonida in launching the Louisiana Baroque Chamber Orchestra (LABCO). We provided individual consulting and support to each artist to help customize and reach their residency goals.

EDUCATION:
The New Marigny Theatre is dedicated to fostering creativity and collaboration within the community through a diverse array of educational offerings; including workshops, masterclasses, and residency programs led by industry professionals. These educational programs are designed to nurture emerging talent, enhance skills, and promote artistic innovation across various disciplines, ensuring that both novice and experienced artists have the resources and support they need to thrive. NMT STAGE PROGRAM – Student Theatre Arts Growth Experience
NMT Student Theatre Arts Growth Experience (STAGE) is New Marigny Theatre’s youth theatre and arts education initiative, connecting young people with working artists, educators and the creative process. Through workshops, classes, mentorship and hands-on opportunities in performance and production, STAGE provides a welcoming space for young people to explore their creativity, develop new skills and discover their own artistic voices.
Integrated with NMT’s Artist Residency Program and broader creative community, STAGE also creates opportunities for young artists to learn directly from resident artists and experience how new work moves from an idea to the stage. The program reflects our commitment to investing not only in the art being created today, but in the next generation of New Orleans artists, audiences and creative leaders.
HOLISTIC WELLNESS:
Health, wellness, and healing arts classes are essential for providing a solid foundation for artistic and spiritual balance and development, benefiting not only artists but the general community as well. Engaging in these practices helps individuals maintain physical health, manage stress, and foster mental clarity, which are crucial for sustaining creativity and productivity. The integration of wellness techniques, such as mindfulness, yoga, and therapeutic arts, nurtures emotional and spiritual well-being, enabling people to connect more deeply with themselves and their community. By cultivating a balanced lifestyle, both artists and community members can achieve greater resilience, inspiration, and fulfillment, ultimately enhancing personal growth and overall quality of life.
