NEW ORLEANS, LA — New Orleans artist Juice will present The Black Pages, a live multimedia performance exploring the evolution of Black sound, on Friday, June 19th at the New Marigny Theatre. From spirituals and blues to jazz, soul, hip-hop, and beyond will honor the generations of Black artists who transformed pain, resistance, joy, and faith into sounds that shaped global culture.

Through live instrumentation, visuals, and immersive performance, the show will connect each musical era to pivotal moments in Black history and culture in the hopes of educating, inspiring, and celebrating the enduring force of Black creativity.

Known for combining live trumpet, hip-hop lyricism, storytelling and New Orleans musical traditions, Juice brings his singular voice and perspective to how music shaped Black history. The Black Pages will be a guided journey, felt in real time, embodying different eras of Black music.

“This show is about honoring where the music comes from,” says JUICE. “Black music tells the story of survival, freedom, celebration, struggle, and innovation. Every genre comes from a deeper history, and I want people to feel that connection in real time.”

Set in New Orleans, a city foundational to the development of American music, The Black Pages arrives on Juneteenth, a day to celebrate and to bridge Black history across generations of rhythm and sound.
