Shoestring Dance Residency is proud to present six new works by seven dance artists on August 15th at New Marigny Theatre. Doors, craft cocktails, and a pre-show performance installation start at 6pm. Show at 7pm. Q&A with the artists to follow. Suggested donation $5-$25 at the door. NOTAFLOF.
About Shoestring 2026:
Seven dance artists have only two weeks to create six new dance works! Each piece will explore the choreographers’ deepest curiosities. At this multi-media showcase, you will experience performances about migration, immigration, and exile, about conditional love, about reconnecting dance to the inherent mathematics of music, and so much more. Come experience dance in a whole new way.
Featuring work by Imani Johnson-Bey, Amos Distefano, Celeste Mercadel, Lourdes del Mar Santiago Lebrón and Tess Angelica Losada-Tindall, Bayleigh Breanne, and Jakki Kalogridis.
Shoestring believes in making Art accessible to everyone. New Marigny Theatre features accessible entry to the right of the building.
